Slack

Slack is a channel-based communication and instant messaging platform. It is designed for teams to work  together more effectively. Slack can be used across multiple devices and platforms, and is equipped with robust features that allows different communications channels, one-on-one conversations, sharing files, and integration with other applications, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.


Why Use Slack?

  • Faculty can breakdown cohorts to private and public channels of communications and announcements.
  • Students can collaboratively work together to share files, communicate with classmate(s), and be instantly notified
  • Slack is easy to use and works on every device and platform.

How to Add Slack to Your Course:

Slack is a standalone platform. Slack is free, but has some limitations. You can also purchase a “Plus” license directly from Slack to extend its functionalities.
