AVAnnotate is a platform developed by Dr. Tanya Clement and Brumfield Labs for creating and sharing annotated audiovisual materials. AVAnnotate combines transcriptions or other notes with audio or video files to create an interactive digital editions. Transcriptions and notes are entered into a single spreadsheet with associated timecodes and can be categorized into thematic or functional layers. The resulting display allows users to navigate the audio or video file by searching or selecting notes from a chronological list. AudiAnnotate, the platform for creating annotation projects also supports the use of IIIF-enabled audiovisual resources.
