All items that require an internet connection must be registered in the host database in order to be able to take advantage of Princeton resources. (It will also suspend your cellular plan’s minutes.) Host database registration enables mobile devices to search and find Princeton-specific resources, for example, electronic library holdings. Registration also allows connection to the wifi network, puwireless.
To enter a device in the host database, your department’s technical support person will require its unique hardware address.
This article describes how to find that hardware address on various devices.
You may have temporarily connected to the puvisitor network, which has a limited access to Princeton resources.
Once your device is registered in the host database, remove the puvisitor address on your device, in order to make puwireless your preferred connection.
